Field Reps Who Are Great at Retention – The Four Cornerstones of Retention Leaders
By Terrel Transtrum and David Taylor
Strong field teams are created on the four cornerstones of Service, Nurturing, Integrity and the Company's Wealth Formula.
Service can be summed up by the Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Building a successful business really can be that simple. Treat other people in the way you would like to be treated, and good things will come your way. The Golden Rule is the best mirror to reflect your thoughts, acts and motives; one of the fastest and most effective ways to reinforce a bond between two individuals is for one to serve the other.
Nurturing is the cornerstone of team retention that is comprised of those principles that can establish respectful and trusting business relationships that protect and preserve the bonds of trust and loyalty while giving all participants a deep sense of self worth. We nurture others like we nurture a child - providing basic elements for happy and successful living.
Integrity is an over-used buzzword in the business world; nonetheless, true integrity-doing what's right, doing what's honorable, doing what you say you will do-is the internal compass that guides the best leaders and the truly successful field teams.
The Company Wealth Formula is the final cornerstone upon which a successful field team will operate. An excellent company will provide an excellent wealth formula that must be enthusiastically embraced in order to fuel the successful Team Retention.
